Have You Had a Change in Employment or Contact Information?

It is imperative that you keep your contact and employment information up to date. Registrants can update their profile by selecting My Profile on the left menu when logged into the registrant portal.

Name change?

Registrants can request a name change via the registrant portal. When logged in, select My Profile on the left menu and select Edit Profile. Proof of name change (e.g., marriage certificate, government issued ID) must be uploaded.

Moving out of province?

Apply to the regulatory body in the province where you intend to practice. From the dashboard of your registrant portal, complete a Verification of Registration Request form and pay the service fee. The regulator will provide verification and send the regulatory body copies of your credentials and CDRE results. If you no longer require registration in Nova Scotia, please send an email to the NSRD indicating your request to move to become not licensed once you are registered in the new province.

If you are not currently licensed in Nova Scotia, contact the NSRD at registration@nsrd.ca to request a verification of registration form be sent to the new jurisdiction.

Re-entry

Registrants that surrendered their license may apply for re-entry via the registrant portal.

If the applicant does not meet the active practice requirement of 500 hours of dietetic practice in the previous three years and their dietetic training or the CDRE was completed more than three years before the date of application, the applicant should refer to the policy Assessing Currency for Applicants.
